ANOTHER WAY TO UNDERSTAND OCCLUSION
FunFunction is a 2-day complementary course that is part of the 3STEP training program, it offers an innovative approach to gnathology, especially in the treatment of dysfunctional cases.
How many times have we told patients : “ Go home and you will adapt to your treatment ” ? However the patient isn’t always able to do it.
Instead of imposing the same restoration pattern to all patients, the FunFunction course will teach you how to treat each patient uniquely and offer them a personalized analysis of their jaw’s functions before and during therapy. The 3STEP Technique allows for a true rehabilitation – not just a reconstruction – of the dysfunctional patient.
Diagnosis and therapy will merge together into a theragnostic thanks to the observation of the dynamic aspects of the occlusion (e.g. chewing) and a cutting-edge additive approach.

Day 1
- 09.00-11.00: 14 WORDS, rehabilitation versus reconstruction
- 11.00-13.00: Advanced diagnosis
- 14.00-15.30: Centered mandibles, how and why?
- 16.00-18.00: Revisited Planas, deep bite, aging, and unilateral function
Day 2
- 9.00-11.00: Motion and G test, vertical and horizontal function
- 11.30-13.00: Increase of VDO complications
- 13.30-17.00: Practical part on 3STEP gnathology
Unprecedented “Practical Part on 3TEP Gnathology”!
During this session the participants will learn the following:
- Analyze the occlusion
- Evaluate the cotton walk/sit
- Film and interpret the G-test
The course will end with the visit of a real disfunctional patient in order to watch (live) the examination carried out by Dr. Vailati, following the protocol of 3STEP gnathology.
